Q: I sold something in the last Auction when will I get paid?

A: Payments are made within 21 working days of the Auction.

Q: Why does it take 21 working days to get our money

A: After the auction we have to collect all the funds from the purchasers and this can take some time to arrange. We will always aim to pay out vendors as soon as possible

Q: What don’t you sell?

A: Currently we don’t not sell the following items

  • Ivory
  • Guns, Knives, Air rifles or Airsoft
  • Beds

Q: Can I bring stuff in for valuation on a Saturday

A: Yes, we open on Saturdays 9am till 1pm

Q: I cant get to you during your opening times. will you visit my house?

A: Yes, we offer a no obligation free home valuation

Q: Will my items be sold with online bidding

A: Yes, all items in all of our auctions are sold with Live bidding with easylive.

Q: How do I find out what my items sold for?

A: Once the auction has finished you can click the link in your notification email and that will show all the hammer prices before charges

Buying FAQ

Q: I bought a lot in your auction will you post it to me?

A: No, at the moment we are unable to post any items won in our auctions. We do however have many packing service companies locally that are more than happy to assist. Please ring for details

Q: I bought a few lots in your sale, when do I have to collect them

A: All lots must be paid for by the Tuesday after the Auction. We do however let people take until the following Friday to collect. So if you cant make it by Tuesday make sure you ring and pay to avoid storage charges.

Q: What does trade mean?

A: Trade is a term you will find in the catalogue, For example a vintage radio consigned to auction may work but the wiring is obsolete and old. Trade means that the item may require professional attention to meet modern regulations before use, so the item may be regarded as for spares and repair.

Q: How many lots do you sell per hour?

A: We have three Auctioneers at Elliotts ranging from 130 to 150 lots per hour

Q: Whats the latest I can get a condition report on an item?

A: We stop taking condition reports at 4pm on the Friday viewing day
