Selling

Selling your goods at Auction

Selling by auction is a simple process, it can seem daunting to the first time customer but it doesn’t need to be.
Here at Elliott’s we are happy to appraise items in person or by email and even WhatsApp.
In person valuation is generally the most common way. This gives us the opportunity to discuss your valuables and visually inspect them for a more accurate value.
Email and WhatsApp are a quick way to get a general idea if your items will benefit from auction.

Consignment

Once your valuables have been appraised, we are happy to consign them to an appropriate auction. We have auctions every two weeks.
Antiques and collectors items on a Saturday at the Wimborne saleroom and furniture and effects at our Corfe Mullen saleroom.
You will receive a receipt and a copy of our terms before leaving your goods with us.
Once your items have been assigned to an auction you will receive notification of sale or presale advice as we often call them. This will by email unless post is preferred, it will show the lot number, description and prices agreed for the estimates.

That’s it, we will do all the work behind the scenes to ensure your items are catalogued and photographed professionally.
